[Plugin: Quotes Collection] display all quotes by tag in a widget?

  • I’d like to add a widget that lists all quotes or all quotes with a given tag. I tried making a text widget with just [quote|all] in it, but just get the text “[quote|all]” in my displayed widget.

    [quote|all] is one of the shortcodes listed, but I’m not getting any quotes, just the text “[quote|all]” … this is in a text widget, not a page or post.

    Ah … I see that shortcodes aren’t by default supported in sidebars, but there are some options to make them work. I’ll start investigating those.

    Weird … [gallery] shortcode works with various widget/sidebar shortcode plugins (I’m currently using “WidgetShortcodes” and also tried “SidebarShortcodes”), but [quote|all] shortcode (and other [quote|<whatever>] shortcodes) just display the shortcode in my text widget.

    Any ideas?
