[Plugin: QuizMe] How to escape an apostrophe?

I have answers in my quiz such as “I don’t know.” If a user selects this as his answer, the quiz results get cut off right after the apostrophe and will display “I don” and nothing after that.

I tried using ' and a backslash but that doesn’t really work as expected either.

How can I do this properly?
