• Again, I have great praise for this plugin!

Another suggestion to make it even greater would be if we could include a contact email field for guest posters who aren’t signed in.

I noticed the custome field requests in anotyher thread. that would certainly cover it, plus some other ideas I have.

anyway, nevertheless an awesome plugin as is!

    thanks,
    R

    Thanks for your kind words.
The next version will have custom fields (at last) but it isn’t finished yet. In a couple of weeks I will upload it.

Hi inapan – Not sure if this is the right place but I think it’s a close enough topic.

I know this has been asked a few times before, but it would be really cool if people who are just members / subscribers could use the plugin to post.

I understand that this is not possible due to the way that wordpress allocates posting to admin/authors/contributors…

    But…

    … I have had a thought of a way around this…

Can you make it so as the widget/plugin only shows up if the person is logged in? This would be good enough for most people’s needs.

It would still be using the same setup as now – I.E A guests account for posting so wordpress won’t puke?

It would just be invisible until you login.

Is this a simple upgrade? is it even possible?

    Best wishes

Hello again – You could then add an extra field down the bottom that would automatically grab the post creators name or nickname so as they would get the credit they deserve, plus it would be more secure that you would know the member who actually tried to post.

You could maybe add a set of radio buttons in the widget just like you have already for extra options for displaying either:

    name
    nickname
    username
    anonymous
    not displayed

And where to put the desired name ie Top of post or Bottom of post.

    Awesome plugin- Great work.

I will be contributing a few bucks to this project as soon as I can because thanks are great but a couple of quid would be more useful ??

    Thanks inapan

    Hi,
it’s possible to add a nickname field were guest can put his nickname, and after submit the default author change to the nickname.

and wat’s about a email notification to the guest after admin moderation.

    tnx
