[Plugin: Quick Chat] Is there a spam filter?

  • Is there a spam filter connected? Like Akismet. I have not used quick chat long enough to experiance spam, but I had spam problems in other plugins open for input. When the spambots discovers a place to leave spam, they fill up fast.

    A solution could be to use the plugin SI Captcha Anti-spam or another capcha plugin which is used for comments.

    Hello sorry for not answering sooner. No there is no anti-spam filter because I felt that for chat application captcha or something similar would destroy real time aspect. But I guess that people could be using Quick Chat as shoutbox and in that case captcha could be useful. I don’t think askimet would be appropriate but I’ll investigate more. Thanks for your interest in improving Quick Chat!
