[Plugin: Query Multiple Taxonomies] Dropdowns and Buttons Disappear

I like the idea that you can drill down and that choices are eliminated as you go. What I don’t like it that when a dropdown no longer has any tags left it totally disappears. How can I make it so the dropdown doesn’t disappear; it’s just empty?

Secondly, if some comes to my site and at first does not understand the drill down method they might just pick 3 or 4 choices all at the same time and press submit. If that combination of tags on at least one post does not exist, not only do all the dropdowns disappear, so do the submit and reset buttons. How can I prevent them from disappearing?
