[Plugin: qTranslate] Site has 20-60 sec. response time with Detect Browser Language enabled

Hi,

I moved some sites to another server and since then on two of those sites, each page request took at least 20 seconds, sometimes even more than one minute! The common denominator was qTranslate. And after some meddling with the options, I found that switching off “Detect Browser Language” the incredible slow response time was gone.

Something timing out there? I found nothing in the error log. How can I find out which part of the script is responsible for this slowness. Is it related to the PHP version 5.2.9 ?

qTranslate does detect the correct language but it takes a really long time to do so…
