[Plugin: Qoate Newsletter Signup] Checkbox Does Nothing

  • I’ve activated the plugin and followed all the instructions for MailChimp, yet I can’t seem to get it to work. The checkbox shows up on my comment form, but when I post a test comment and tick the box, nothing happens. I never get signed up, no confirmation email, nothing.

    I tried using both URLs I could find for the form action (the one that shows up on the source code for the embedded signup form on my site, and the one that shows up in the URL box when I click the link to subscribe form in my MailChimp dashboard). Neither works.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • I have the same problem on a site that was upgraded to WP 3.0.1. I think that there is some kind of interference with some other plugins, but I’m not sure. I hope the plugin writer will see this and help us to fix it.

    I emailed the plugin author, and he tried to help, but so far nothing.

    What plugins do you have? Maybe we can compare and see which one is interfering.

    On my site, https://www.fathershand.org, the plugins I have are:
    Akismet – Not Activated
    Easy Contact
    Flash Video Player – version 5.0.4
    Qoate Newsletter Signup – version 2.0
    WP-Mail-SMTP – version 0.8.6

    These are the plugins on my site. I maintain another site with different plugins. On my site, https://www.fathershand.org I had to disable the Qoate Newsletter widget because it doesn’t send all the extra parameters needed to my ListMail Pro software. However, the Newsletter Subscribe on the Website register page is working OK on this site, but not all all on the other site that I manage, https://www.miraclejesus.com

    Have you tried to turn WP_DEBUG on and see what errors you get?
