Plugin pulling unrelated content

  • I’ve managed to disable all of the outside ads, but the plugin still doesn’t sort related content. The related content plugin is pulling: posts, pages, categories, banners sets, feature images, categories with no posts, and I’m not sure what all else, and adding it to the related posts area at the bottom of my posts. But what really bites is that the “related content” isn’t remotely related. I’ve got tennis fashion reports in the related content in the footers of my recipes, health and fitness posts. I’ve got recipes in the related content in the footers of posts that have nothing to do with cooking. The same applies to all post subjects.

    Is there some update I need to download? Or perhaps it just doesn’t work with my theme? I hope it can be fixed, because I like having a social share bar above the related content, and this is the only plugin that does that.

    Hi Jen,

    Thanks for the helpful info! The Related Content app should NOT be recommending feature images (as a post), categories, and banner sets (that are not a featured image of the post). It should recommend pages and posts only.
    I was able to see the issue from my end, including deleted pages appearing as recommendations. I will have to escalate this issue to my engineers to investigate further. Hang tight!

    It doesn’t appear that this problem will be fixed, so is there any way to hide or remove the related posts from underneath the share bar, and just have the share bar? Thank you ??

    I figured out how to hide it for now, though I really would like to get the problem fixed, as your plugin doesn’t distort my thumbnails. Have you heard anything about this problem yet?
