[Plugin: Prospress] Buy It Now

  • I know that several of us have been asking for a while for the plugin author to add BIN functionality, but the promises that it’s in the works don’t seem to be panning out. Anyone interested in taking a crack at it? I really need the “many-to-many exchange” aspect of this plugin, but it does me no good if auctions are the only listing option.

    Or, if anyone knows of another plugin that does the “many-to-many exchange” (each user enters a Paypal address into their profile, and all payments for the items they post go to their account, rather than having one primary Paypal address for the entire cart installation), I’d love to hear about it!

    If you just can’t wait for a stable release, try the pre-beta of version 1.1 by downloading it here: https://github.com/Prospress/Prospress/zipball/master

    This shows how buy now is being implemented. It’s pre-beta, so don’t use it live.

    If you want to help rush things like this along, you could invest the time to learn how to code or post a job on eLance or the like. I welcome contributions to the project.

    Unfortunately, I have a 2 year old, so I’m tapped out on time to invest in learning something new. If I can help out with my existing meager knowledge of WP, I’d be ecstatic ??

    I’m sorry if I seemed to have given up on the development of the BIN feature, but I’ve posted on the Prospress support forums asking about the progress and gotten no response :/

    So happy to see the BIN feature finally available! This means HUGE things for my site ??

    I was wondering if there is a way that we could get the option to offer an item as BIN only, though? It would be nice if there were a “use” checkbox next to both “starting price” and “Buy it now price” on the new auction/auction edit screens, so that one could choose to either hold a straight auction, a BIN only transaction, or both per item. Hope that made sense.
