[Plugin: Promotion Slider] Problem hardcoding slider

When I try to hardcode the slider into my theme, according to the provided instructions, I get the following error:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home……”
Can someone please help?
