[Plugin: Promotion Slider] Images not sizing properly

I agree, after inserting images, there is a dark grey right hand side and the lighter grey area on the bottom of the image area visable.

Any solutions yet?

By default, the slider has a height of 235px and the width expands to match the containing element. If you have a specific image size, it is best to define an exact width and height in the shortcode, like so:

[promoslider width="600px" height="300px"]

Just figured it out…had the default image size set to ‘medium’ #braindead ??

I did that and still did not work. At the end I gave up and now using NextGen Gallery. I would have love to use promotion slider.

Try checking your Slider options and make sure the default setting is set to ‘full size”

yes it was but still would not work for me.

I have that exact same problem.
I can size my .jpg files any size I want…but the promo slider seems to keep a little distance from the picture on one side.

I have now set my sizer: [promoslider width=”580px” height=”402px”]
but it leaves exactly the same space on the side as when it was 600x 300
The hight seems to be adjusting normally..but the sides left-right won’t.

What can I try to fix this.

It’s already set to ‘full size’ ..

PLEASE HELP!!!

The problem you describe is most likely unrelated to your image size and is being caused by CSS in your theme. A link to the page where this is happening would allow me to see what is going on and point you in the right direction.

I had the same problem, where no matter what I set the image width to or what width of image I uploaded, the images would always appear slightly narrower than the actual image size.

Per Micah’s suggestion, I did burrow through my theme CSS and found one instance of certain types of images having a max-width of 98%. If your images are always getting slightly shrunk regardless of original width, try looking for a percentage width in your theme CSS.
