• It would appear that local favicons are not working on my installation.

    Using twitter as an example…
    – my twitter items are coming through
    – twitter.png exists in the /plugins/profilactic/images/ directory
    – the image inserted into the page is https://www.profilactic.com//images/favicons/twitter.gif

Any thoughts on how I could get this working? My end goal is to apply a favicon for a custom feed. The feed is for https://www.tripit.com, I have tripit.png in the images directory, and it’s pulling the generic RSS icon.

    Thanks
    peter

  • Did you try it on another browser IE/Firefox.

Can you post a link to your blog so I can look at it?

There shouldn’t be any issue with this (regardless of the browser). You can see a working example on my site: https://opindian.com/blog/lifestream/

    Here is the URL.

I’m playing with widgets and layouts right now, so it may be in flux. I’ll try to leave up “Where to find me”.

It almost looks like there are parsing issues getting the service or file info.

    Thanks!

    ahh… I see what you’re talking about.

The custom icons only work with the ‘<?php profilactic(); ?>’ code. The Where To Find Me widget uses a stock script from Profilactic so, unfortunately, you can’t use custom icons with it.
