• I recently tried to upgrade to 3.0.5 but it didn’t go through successfully – there was a temporary ‘offline to due maintenance’ screen, then the site returned still on 3.0.4

Since then I have had a problem with plugins – the plugins which I can see when FTPing in are not appearing in the admin, and when I try to install new plugins it is not successful.

    Any ideas what’s up?

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to access /wp-login.php to get this to kick in fully.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-running the upgrade manually using /wp-admin/upgrade.php.
