Hi I love this plugin and I wanted to say thank you. I have tried a few other plugins for the sole purpose of displaying posts on a page, but none of them have looked (or worked) nearly as well as this one. I will definitely be sure to donate once I get one last thing working – the num attribute. I have it set to num=’2′ but all of the posts in the category keep displaying. I even tried cat_num=’2′ in case the documentation was a bit off, but I still didn’t have any luck. Here’s the page that I am working on and I will be working on several other “den” pages that will have their own blog categories needing to be displayed. https://www.pack747.net/tiger-den/ Thanks!

[I posted this to your website as well. Sorry for cross-posting.]

No problem I have responded on the blog site as well.

Can you show your whole short code setting. num=’2′ is correct and it is working on my blog site okay. I wonder if one of the other settings is causing a conflict (shouldn’t do).

Here is what I have: [posts-for-page cat_slug=’tiger-news’ num=’2′]. Is it possible that it has something to do with newest WordPress version? I just upgraded the other day, but I didn’t have this plug-in installed before the update to know whether that might be the problem or not.

Ok I found a bug introduced with the order param – updated version 1.73 corrects it, should appear soon on WP.

Okay, great. Thanks for checking into it for me. How soon can I expect 1.73? (It is not a pressing need, so I will keep it installed until the update, but I’d like to know when to log back into WP Admin to do the update.)

Its up now. You can force WP to check by simply deactivating, then reactivating rather than wait for it to find the updated version itself.

I got it! The deactivate/activate option didn’t work, so I had to uninstall and then reinstall to get the 1.73. The num option worked right away since I never removed the shortcode from the actual page. Thank you so much! My donation is on the way…it will be an official donation from the Tiger Den of Pack 747, so it won’t be for a few days but it’s coming! Thank you again!

Great glad it worked, thanks for reporting so I could fix it quickly. Thanks a lot for the donation too, although it is not something I expect, it is just nice to be able to help others out where I can ??

    Thanks – Simon
