[Plugin: Post Types Order] breaks previous/next link navigation in single.php

I am running the latest version of the plugin on WP 3.3.2 . I have exactly the same problem described in a recent post: the previous_post_link()and next_post_link(); are broken when the plugin is installed (and work perfectly as soon as it is deactivated )

query_posts() calls work properly when “order_by” => “menu_order” is used but *not* the WP standard single post navigation.

IS there a workaround? A fix?
