    Hi,

I’m having some trouble getting posts to expire. Future posts work however, so the wp-cron is functioning okay.

I’m using a 3.1 multisite network. It’s an internal site hosted in a network so I can’t provide any links. It’s running on Fedora linux with the latest version of PHP. Everything else on the site works fine, it’s just this expiring I can’t get working.

I’ve checked over the settings, checked the date on the server, set up a future post and an expired post at the same time (it doesn’t expire but the new post appears). There is also no caching plugin installed.

It’s also probably worth mentioning that I’ve tried a couple of other post expire plugins and they don’t work either. Is there something that needs to be enabled on the server for this to work? Something in Apache or PHP? It’s weird since the future posts work okay…

    Any ideas?
    Cheers!

I enabled the footer for the posts and that displays okay.

Post expires at 9:40am on Friday March 4th, 2011

Still doesn’t expire though. I set that up around 9:30am for it to expire at 9:40.

Yesterday I also tried to make it expire today, in case it was only working at midnight but it failed to remove the post.

I’ve tried Draft and Delete, and on different posts and pages, still no luck.

    Cheers.

    I’ve resolved this.

Network Activate seems to mess it up.

I disabled it from the network then activated it for each site – which works.

    Cheers,
    Rab
