[Plugin: Post Expirator] Posts not automatically expiring or changing status

I have been using Post Expirator to change posts from published to draft status on dates certain but none of the changes in post status have ever been made by post automator.

I have other plugins which use the build in wp-cron capability and they work without exception or problem so I am narrowing the problem down to the Post Expirator plugin.
