• My System runs on a own server as a Homepage, not Blog:
    Wordpress 3.4.1
    installed Plugins:
    Awesome Flickr Gallery
    Calendar
    Contact Form 7
    Exclude Pages from Navigation
    Exec-PHP
    Herrenhuter Losung
    Pages Posts
    Post Expirator 1.6.1

    All plugins with newest version.

I have one page, where all Posts from one Category are listened. This works with Page Posts. This are meetings and other dates. And this should be deactivated after the meeting was. So I decided to install Post Expirator 1.6.1.
    Diagnostic says:
    Reset Cron Event Status OK
    Rest Cron Schedule Status OK
Post Expirator Debug Loggin Status: Enabled

    My General Settings:
    Set Post To: Draft
    Set Page to: Draft
Date Format: I tried “l F jS, Y” and “j. F Y” (last is the one from the options)
Time Format: I tried “g:ia” and “H:i” (last is the one from the options)
Crone Schedule: I tried ever 60 seconds and once a day.
    Default Date/Time Duration: None
    Category Expiration: Disabled

    At the post I choose:
Enable Post Expiration and than a date and time.

But it dosn’t run. I tried some times with different values and I read here at the support forum, but get a solution.

So where can I find the error?

  • What does the debug log say? Are any of the events firing?

    “View Debug logs”

Below is a dump of the debugging table, this should be useful for troubleshooting.

    Debugging table is currently empty.

It sounds like your cron is not firing – what is showing on the diagnostics tab under the current cron schedule?

    Where did I find it?

Current Cron Schedule: The below table will show all currently scheduled cron events with the next run time.
There should be an event named expirationdate_delete with a schedule of postexpiratorminute.

it looks like your cron events are not firing. When a cron event fires, the date should change to the next date it should fire. And seeing that you have some from back on Jul 21 that are set to daily – something is not right there. You may want to check your wordpress install to make sure eveything is right.

Do you mean I have to install the WP new with all plugins or is there any other possibility to install the WP new?

you could start by disabling some of the other plugins to see if any of them are impacting cron. Otherwise, you could setup a second development install to test your system.

@aaron, I am experiencing similar problems as magoac and I have the same setup with similar plugins. I installed on my localhost, disabled all plugins and it still doesn’t work properly. In fact, I cannot change the expiration date. Anytime I try to set a future expiration date, it reverts back to the post publish date and time.
