[Plugin: Portfolio Slideshow] Validation error and conflict with other website slider

    Hi there, this plugin is terrific. I love it’s simplicity, however I’m having some issues with it.
    When It’s activated I get a validation error caused by the plugin. It also causes an issue on my home page and another javascript slider I use (eventhough the portfolio slideshow plugin doesnt appear on this page.

    What I get is a “required attribute “type” not specified” validation error.
    It doesnt seem to like the opening <style> tag of the plugin.

    When I deactivate the plugin I get no errors and my homepage slider works perfectly. When portfolio slideshow pligin is loaded I get errors.

    Can anyone suggest some ways this can be fixed?

    Hi Azzatron,
    You’re absolutely right about the inline CSS not validating. I probably shouldn’t leave it inline like that either. I’ll fix that.

    The conflict you mentioned usually happens because another plugin is loading jQuery incorrectly. When both plugins are loaded, take a look at your your HTML source. Do you see jQuery listed more than once? If you disable the other plugin, does the slideshow work again?

    It would be helpful if you included a link and the name of the other plugin, and I’ll see what I can do.

    Hi Azzatron,
    The plugin has been updated to 0.4.0, which should fix the validation issue (along with some new features). Let me know if you work out the other problems you’re having.

    Hi Dalton.
    Thanks for a super quick response. I’ll try the plugin out again now and see if I get any conflicts.
    The jQuery slider I use is built into the theme and not an external plugin, but fingers crossed everything works ok.
