[Plugin: Polylang] UK flag & german translation

I would also need the luxembourgish Flag. Maybe it would be an idea to provide all the flags of the countries of the worlds in a later version?

According to Wikipedia, there are 7589 languages ! So I will never cover all of them ?? . That’s why you have the possibility to add your own languages.

Moreover, flags are generally representative of countries and not of languages. So it is tricky to make a good association between languages and flags. For example, I first associated en_US with the US flag, but I changed may mind since probably most people would associate the English language with the UK flag. So in 0.5, I changed the en_US flag to UK flag. Maybe american people won’t be happy… But I am not aware of an existing WordPress translation to en_GB.

The flags I am using are coming from famfamfam. These are public domain flags and cover (almost) all countries. I just renamed them to fit WordPress locale. So you can download them, rename those you want and upload them in the polylang/local_flags directory (use PNG, not GIF), and everything should be OK.

For the German translation, if you already know how to deal with .po files, you can find them in polylang/languages directory and send me the updated file here. If you don’t know how to do, contact me at the same link and I will explain. Thank you in advance !

Noob question: I have the flags from famfamfam — could you give some more details as to how to upload, change the name, etc? Maybe a walk-through for the code-impaired?
