• Hi all, I updated polylang to the latest version (0.9.1) and the language filter in the admin’s pages list is gone. Before the update there was this very useful filter, that i used to view pages only in a specific language, but now is gone, and i see all pages of all languages mixed together. I have a lot of pages in 4 languages, and without that filter it’s really hard to find the page i’m looking for. Anyone knows how to enable it again?
    Thank you very much.

Strange ! For sure I did not remove the filter in v0.9.1 although I tried to correct bugs it had when it was introduced in v0.9.
Is it the only change you made?
Did you check for a conflict with another plugin?

    I have this same issue.

I did try disabling ALL other plugins but the filter still isn’t there.

I would try disabling and then re-enabling polylang itself but I am terrified that the associations between pages would be lost, and at 400+ pages I do not fancy starting from scratch.

    Any suggestions?

    thank you

@kwords, did you see the language filter in a previous version of polylang too?

I do not understand how it can disappear as it should always be displayed except if there is no languages created yet (This is the only test done). It should also not work for WordPress 3.1 (as the admin toolbar was different from the current one in this old version).

There should be no risk when deactivating the plugin. In fact, the plugin is deactivated when you use the automatic update. What you must not do, is clicking the red “delete” link (only this should remove all what you have done with Polylang). Anyway, backing up your database is always a good precaution before any update.

All I can suggest is to try to reinstall the plugin manually.

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I did see it before, or else I wouldn’t have noticed it was missing ??

The languages were all there already, same as now. I have the latest wordpress release installed.

Will the page associations disappear if I reinstall manually? How can I preserve them?

Thanks again for your kind help, I love the plugin by the way!

I recommend that you backup database. This is always a good precaution. But normally, you should loose nothing when you update (whatever it is manually or automatically).

    I’ll try next week, thanks.

Same problem for me. WP + Polylang lasted version

So I don’t have language filters under posts and pages list (v0.9.3.8). I switched back to 0.8.10 and it works again.

The language filter has moved since 0.9. It does not work anymore as the date and categories default filters in the posts and pages list.
It is now a menu included in the admin toolbar on top of the screen (normally just beside the “+ New” menu. It is much more powerful than it used to be in 0.8.x as it is now persistent and filters much more content than only posts and pages.

    Ah ok merci ??
