[Plugin: Polaroid Gallery] Page Slows

Page takes 12 seconds to load when using the Polaroid Gallery plugin. There are 14 optimized images in the gallery. It takes a fraction of a second to load the same page when not using this plugin. Is there anything I can do to make this work faster?
