    Hi,

I have moved my wp-content folder outside of the main wordpress folder and retitled it ‘resources’. The resources folder contains folders for my plugins and themes. I tried adding the pods plugin to my ‘plugins’ folder but when I then activated the plugin I wasn’t able to create any new pods. The ‘add new pod’ functionality just didn’t work.

I then did a clean install of wordpress and added the pods plugin to the plugins folder within the wp-content folder within wordpress and it worked perfectly.

Is it possible to move the pods plugin to other plugins folder such as within my resources folder, or does the plugin need to sit within the ‘wp-content’ folder within wordpress?

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up! Had another user recently contact me about this. I’ll work a fix into Pods 1.12 before I release it if I can.

This is fixed in Pods 2.0 since we’re using a different AJAX method, but right now you’ll have to manually patch pods/ui/ajax/api.php and pods/ui/ajax/misc.php at the top to point to the real location of those files.

Pods 2.0 is getting close to testing phase so you won’t have to wait long, and I don’t anticipate any 1.13 or 1.12.x releases unless there are issues with Pods 1.12 that were missed during testing.

Thanks Scott, that’s great. I’ll give the patching a go and see how I get on.
