Hi,
first of all sorry for my english. ??You can see the problem effects in this page:
https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=120In FireFox, if you click in one ofe “play now” links, doesn’t happen nothing at all!
In IE 7 you’ve got an alert popup just loading the page, you’ll not be able to view the page. Thanks for any help.

Same issue in Chrome. Dont see anything anywhere.
https://www.filettirossi.com/SPKvideo//QPTeL15.flv…. There are double forward slashes…. That could be causing a problem in regards to loading the file…. Is there anything missing concering a directory ?
Thank’s a lot for your reply.
I correct the slash but the problem is the same.
Directory path seems to be ok.
Podpress was working until the ver. 8 update. ??Hi anatoli,
I would try to help you with this “play now” problem. But it seems to me that you are using the the related settings to hide this link.
But I have discovered another, maybe different problem with the Play in Popup link. This was not working but this problem is solved in podPress 8.8.6.3. Please upgrade to this version.
@no_ob: the link of the flv video you have posted above leads to a 404 Error page because it has to much points at the end. If you remove the 4 points after the file name extension then the link works.
Regards,
TimBTW: I have nearly overlooked your post. Because you have not set the tag “podpress”. All posts in this forum which are having this tag will show up in a special RSS feed which I follow. This way I can help and react fast. On the contrary I’m searching only once in a while with Google site search for posts without this tag.
So please, add always tags to your posts in this forum. (I have added the “podpress” tag.)@ntm: I’m sorry but what do you mean with “ou are using the the related settings to hide this link” ?
I updated to 8.8.6.3 version but the error is still there. ??
Well, if you click on “Play in Popup” the player starts to play the file.
But the size of the player (preview) is 0 x 0 pixels. That is why the movies resp. the players are not visible.
Please, open this post with the editor and change these values to e.g. 320 x 240.Regards,
TimOk, i understand what you mean but which file i have to edit?
I opened the page where the videos are posted and there, the player dimensions (in the podpress forms – media file) are right setted 320×240.
Ara you talking about another file?
I have made a screenshot. I mean the dimensions of each player: see this screenshot.
Make sure that all dimension settings are greater than zero.
… If the dimesnsion values are greater than zero (like in this screenshot) then save/update the page or post again.
That’s my screenshot: https://wikisend.com/download/497656/screenshot.23.jpg
Anatoli, you are right. Your screenshot shows the section where you can define the size of the player. But this particular screenshot seems not to be a screenshot of the edit view of this page: https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=120
The file names in your screenshot are different to the file names of the files on this page. The file names on this page are more like QPTeL2.flv etc.
Please, make a screenshot of the edit view of this page. But if you want to tell me that videos of the post which you have documented with this screenshot are not working either then you should insert the full URLs of these files into the “Location:” fields. The file names (e.g. ciocco1.flv) alone are most likely not sufficient.
Is this a screenshot of a published post or page? Can you post the link to this post (or page) here?Is it a screenshot of this post https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=55 ?
Did you updated the post with this dimensions for the players?
The source code of this post shows e.g. these lines:
podPressShowHidePlayer('1', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/SPKvideo/ciocco1.flv', 0, 0, 'nopreview', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/wp-content/plugins/podpress/images/vpreview_center.png', 'Mi sono innamorato di te...', 'I Filetti Rossi Sperluccicosi'); podPressShowHidePlayer('2', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/SPKvideo/ciocco2.flv', 0, 0, 'nopreview', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/wp-content/plugins/podpress/images/vpreview_center.png', 'Nella prossima vita... voglio essere un maiale!', 'I Filetti Rossi Sperluccicosi'); podPressShowHidePlayer('3', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/SPKvideo/ciocco3.flv', 0, 0, 'nopreview', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/wp-content/plugins/podpress/images/vpreview_center.png', 'Ma \'sti fiori, chi me li paga?', 'I Filetti Rossi Sperluccicosi'); podPressShowHidePlayer('4', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/SPKvideo/ciocco4.flv', 0, 0, 'nopreview', 'https://www.filettirossi.com/wp-content/plugins/podpress/images/vpreview_center.png', 'L\'astice', 'I Filetti Rossi Sperluccicosi');
The 2 zeros after the URL are the current dimensions for the players and if you update this post the dimensions for the players and all other settings in the podPress box in the editor are going to be saved.
Did you clicked on the “Update” button?I have noticed another thing: The first post and this one are no fresh posts. Could you try to create a new post and add one of these flv files with podPress? You don’t have to publish it. The preview should have same problem or maybe not.
And try to change the dimensions to some other values like 323×250 (something other then default) and save the changes.
Ok ntm… something change ??
I mean, i created a new pages just copying the old ones, whit the same parameters and other stuffs and it works!
Great! I don’t no why but… it works! Thanks a lot!
Now there is just another little big problem, if you open the pages containing the podpress video with Internet Explorer you’ll see an error and the page crash! ??
With FireFox everything works fine.
Which page makes trouble?
I have tried to view videos on
https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=287
https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=275
https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=280
https://www.filettirossi.com/?page_id=283I have used IE6 and IE8 without any errors or other problems. I was able watch the videos on all of these pages.
Please, post the links of these pages which are causing problems.
I’m using IE7 on the pages you’ve listed, and i’m not able to view nothing because an error crash the browser.
I’ve tried to do this with my personal pc, my notebook and my office computer. Nothing! ??
