[Plugin: Podcasting] Audio-Player restarts playback from the beginning

  • I’m using the latest 2.0 beta4 version of the Podcasting plugin and everything works fine. Except when playing files in the audio-player in my browser (tested in safari 3 and firefox 3) after some minutes (ususally around 13min), the playback restarts from the beginning. all my files are encoded as mp3s with 64kbps and 44.1kHz mono. I don’t know if this is a problem with the audio-player or the plugin settings. The problem already existed in WordPress 2.6.

  • Does the playback restart about 13 minutes in, or after 13 minutes of continuous listening?

    I don’t see anything in your settings that would be causing these problems.

    I assume you’re aware I’m using the audio-player plugin to manage the audio player. I would try contacting that developer and seeing if he has any ideas what could be causing that issue. I’m not an expert in Flash, so this is a difficult thing for me to troubleshoot.

    It’s around 13 to 14 minutes in. but it differs from file to file. The duration of the file is also not properly recognized. But I’ll direct my question to the developer of the audio-player. Thanks for the quick answer.
