[Plugin: Pie Register] Date field not working in profile!

Ok, so I have added a couple of date fields to my registration. They work great, calendar pops up, date is selected.

However the date is not added to the profile. I get a text box with filled with whatever data is in the field above.

Any suggestions would be great as this on has me stumped.
