When you open the album you can see a button ‘Album’. Click to the button and it’s became a ‘Shortcode’. Then clicking on album cover image will insert shortcode for album.

I believe he is asking about something different (and this is my question too)

Is it possible, instead of including the whole album content in a page, to create a list of albums with their respective Picasa title/description along with a random or defined thumb from the album, and when the album title/thumb is clicked, to
    1) either open up a lightbox popup with all the album images
    2) or lead to another page with just the album content.

    Is this possible?

I want to create a page where I would list the Albums (thumb, title, decription) and the visitor would click on them and see the respective album content.
I can do this now by linking images to posts where I have your plugin shortcode to display the album content, but I was wondering if there can be another way.

    Cheers

Wott’s answer was correct for this particular question.

    1. In a new post, click on the picasa icon to open the image selection dialog.
    2. In the window that is displayed next, you will see some buttons across the top.
    3. BEFORE clicking on an album thumbnail, click the button labeled “Album”. The text for the button will then switch to “Shortcode”
    4. Click on the album you wish to insert, and it will be inserted into the post (rather than opening the album to display images)

Regarding the image that is displayed for the album, this is provided in the RSS feed. You *may* be able to set the album image through the G+/Picasaweb interface, but I’m not sure if that will translate to what is in the RSS or not.
