I can think of a way to build this into the plugin, but it will take at least a few weeks (there is a lot of testing involved in a plugin of this sort).

I have to say your pluging is nice but I have encountered more problem here:

In my testing site I created the Gallery page:
https://www.xiexianhui.com/home649/gallery/
which looked fine. The code is:
[gallery type='picasa' user_id='xie3208080' kind='photo' album='December32011' max_results='4' thumbsize='200']

But, if I change it to another account
[gallery type='picasa' user_id='dukun2000' kind='photo' album='northyork1' max_results='4' thumbsize='200']

Then the page is empty.

I double checked the album has been set to public.

The link you have pasted has the gallery that you mention. I am not seeing any issues here.

I am having an issue with the syntax.
Should it not be possible to use the ID (numbers) for the specific album one want to have displayed? It is how it shows in the URL for the album.

The album URL can also be shown with words instead of letters. In any case, to the best of my knowledge using the ID doesn’t work with the Picasa API.

So, now we have the solution and its specifics.

However, I do not seem to be able to find the configuration to change the url settings (from numbers to words). I only get the numbers ID for user and album.

Care to help me to sort this out? ??

You don’t need to edit anything. If you go to https://picasaweb.google.com/home, you will see your albums. If you hover over any album, you will see a URL of this sort: https://picasaweb.google.com/1234567890/AlbumSlug. You just need the portion after the number (which happens to be your ID). In case you see an additional ?authkey=xyz parameter, don’t include that part.

G+ has the albuns feature and it is integrated with Picasa. Such difference seems incoherence from Google. ??

I have WP 3.5 but plugin photonic 1.35 not work. No images no error . clear display. I use to Flickr gallery but i tried 500px . The story is same.

Please provide a URL where you are trying things out. It is likely that you are facing a JavaScript conflict with another plugin.
