[Plugin: Photonic Gallery for Flickr, Picasa, SmugMug and 500px] Fancybox for individual images ho

  • I switched to this plugin as it is nearly perfect for my needs. However I ran into a few problems.

    I have a lot of thumbnail galleries – both WP hosted as well as Flickr – so for these this was perfect. But I would like also some images that are posted full sized in the blog (so not in galleries, just individual images that link to the file) to have a fancybox or lightbox effect when clicked, can this be achieved? I used to have another lightbox plugin I used for this, but now with Photonic installed I had to deactivate it because it caused a double image pop up effect on the images inserted in galleries because of the two plugins running together.

    Question two is about the faded look of the thumbnails and when you hover over them you see them in full color – what should I go and change in the codes if I want to get rid of the hover effect and instead have the thumbnails displayed in full colors?

    Regarding the double popup, that is for the other plugin to resolve. Think of it this way: Photonic doesn’t interfere with standalone images that your Lightbox plugin manages, so your Lightbox plugin shouldn’t interfere with galleries that Photonic manages.

    For the thumbnail opacity, you can add a couple of lines to your style.css. If you tell me what your URL is, I can help you with the code.
