    This is the syntax:
    [gallery type='smugmug' view='images' album='abcdefgh_123456']

The value you pass to album is the last segment of an album URL. E.g. IF your album URL is https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/abcdefgh_123456, the short-code will take abcdefgh_123456 as the parameter value for album.

Thanks for this. My gallery URL is:
    name.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Out-and-About/23168385_pCX772/1870912745_5Qch7Cr

I tried the code above and neither album=’1870912745_5Qch7Cr’ ; album=’23168385_pCX772/1870912745_5Qch7Cr’ nor album=’Out-and-About/23168385_pCX772/1870912745_5Qch7Cr’ worked. In fact, they gave no display at all.

If I removed the view=’images’ part, then I get the entire account’s albums displayed – not just the chosen one.

    I tried using this shortcode:
    [gallery type='smugmug' view='album' album='23168385_pCX772' max_images=20]

This worked without any issues on my site. Note that your album is 23168385_pCX772, not 1870912745_5Qch7Cr

Do let me know if the above works, so that the thread can be marked resolved.
