  • From what I know, each person would set up their own campaign. You may use a single cause to allow multiple people to set up a campaign. In this case, each walker or runner.

There would have to be a different cause for each runner if you wanted the donations to go to separate the runners. If all runners just setup their own campaign, all donations would go to the same cause.

Runner 1’s cause – has different campaigns
Runner 2’s cause – has different campaigns
    Etc.

As I understand it, the plugin can only accept donations to one paypal or authorize account.

There are some discussions somewhere on this forum about letting users setup their own causes and using different paypal accounts. Not sure what John has planned for future releases, but that would be an awesome feature imho.

I really need the ability to have multiple paypal or authorize.net accounts of buttons. Anyone have any idea of how hard this would be to do? I need it like yesterday.

I just recalled something I was looking at when I started evaluating fundraising software.

John’s personal fundraiser is awesome software and the one I chose for my needs so far, but I evaluated quite a few.

The following one is built on Drulal / CiviCRM. It didn’t fit my needs, but it looked like a very cool system. It’s looks like this would do exactly what you need. They did it to sponsor walkers for a cause.

If that doesn’t help, get in touch, I may be able to help you out.
