This functionality was actually built into the core, so there’s no need for the plugin.

So when I adjust permalinks from the standard permalink structure to /%category%/&postname%/ people using older links to posts will be redirected? I thought I needed this permalinks moved permanently plugin or the Redirect plugin..

Yes, WordPress will automatically issue a 301 (permanent) redirect if the old structure is accessed.

Awesome. And that goes the same if I change the categoy base “category” to “categorie” (Dutch)?

I’ve never tried changing the category base, but I’m sure it would work just the same.

    just noticed today:

Link changed from https://magazeta.com/intervyu/2010/11/23/malyavin/ to https://magazeta.com/intervyu/2010/11/24/malyavin/ and old link return 404 errror. With plugin – redirects to the new page.
