  • I’m not exactly sure. However, there was a blank “participant” that I deleted. I found when I redid it and left that blank one in, it worked, “Add Participant” page was there again.

If anyone can shed light on why this would be, please do!

    castlebuilder,

Sounds like you’re referring to the default participant record. This is the first record in the database which is put in when the plugin is installed. This can’t be deleted, the plugin requires this to function.

That explains it for me as well. I deleted the records and fields that came with the plugin. How can I fix this without losing all the data and new fields that I added>

    Thanks.

You will probably need to export your data, then reinstall the plugin and reimport your data.

xnau can probably better answer this question, though!

    ChainmZvi,

I didn’t create an easy way to recover from this…didn’t expect people to go into the database directly and delete that record.

You can try just creating a blank record (in the wp_participants_database table) with an ID of 1325. The rest of that record just contains the default values for new records.

Creating the blank record fixed it!

Thanks. By the way, great plugin. Our K-8 school is going to use it for student registration. I showed it to the office today and they loved it. especially since the parents will be able to update the records, saving the office staff work.

I’m loading up the database from old data in another table, then will mail merge a mass mailing to all the parents with their special link (I’ll append the code to the url).

Thank you again for this plugin.
