[Plugin: Participants Database] List total number of participants?

First, thanks for this terrific plugin!

I’m using it as a “pledge” page for a month-long challenge. Is there a way to list the total number of participants within a post?

I’d love to have something above the list of participants like “Total number of people who have taken the pledge: 3,451!”
