I am newbie in this, so please bear with me…
I installed the plugin, created my database field by your instruction (no problems)… but I have issues with the filter to display participants according to the “topics” field; where I want to display information of people under the same topics. I added two participants (one under Arts topic and another one under Skill Trades topic); I used the shortcode [pdb_list filter=’Topics’=’Arts’] in the Arts post page and shortcode [pdb_list filter=’Topics’=’ Skill Trade ‘] in the Skill Trade post page but both participants appears on all post pages where the filter shortcode is applied with different topics names . Here is the way I did set up the “topics” field:
    1. Name: “topics”
    2. Title: “Topics”
    3. Group: “main” (like all of my fields)
    4. Help Text: “choose a topic”
    5. Form Element: “dropdown”
    6. Values: “Arts, Biological, Computer Skills, English, History, Languages, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Science, Skills Trade, Social Sciences”
    7. Validation: Yes
    8. Display Column: 1
    9. Admin Column: 1
    10. Sortable: (Check Mark)
    11. CSV: (No Check Mark)
    12. Persistent: (No Check Mark)
    13. Signup: (Check Mark)
    What am I doing wrong…???
    Can anyone help…???
