[Plugin: Paid Memberships Pro] Offline payments query

We’ve had a number of people contact us to say they’re unable to pay via Paypal or any of the other online payment providers. Our customers are schools, and they want to either pay by check or bank transfer, and need us to email them an invoice.

Now – in an idea world what would happen is they would fill in the paid membership sign-up form and have the option to click “pay offline” at the bottom as well as the Paypal button. This would then generate an invoice using the details they had provided and email it to them.

But I appreciate that’s probably not going to happen! Is there another way of doing it, though? Could there be a “pay offline” button that sets them up as a free member and emails me to say they need an invoice? I could then send the invoice manually and upgrade them when payment came through.

Or is there a simpler way to do this that I’m not aware of?
