[Plugin: Page Links To] Current Window New Window Open Same Page?

  • Hi everyone!

    So I installed the them called TheStyle from Elegant Themes.
    Then I installed this plug-in.

    The issue that I’m having is very simple.

    Whenever I put the website in, and click “Open In New Window”, it opens the link in a new window AND opens the link in the current window. So if my external link is google, it’ll open google in the new link, and open google in the current window.

    Why is this happening?

    Also, instead of window, how do I make it to open in a new tab?

    What I even did is un-check the “Open In New Window” and added a plugin called, “Open External Links In New Window”, and STILL it opens a new window with google, and the current window also goes to google.

    Meanwhile I want the current window to not change.

    Sorry to hear your having such issues. I have an idea for you that might be a bit over simplified since I cant see your site that you’re working with but on the off chance that it actually helps you here it is.

    If your trying to put an external link in the body or content of your page, try copy and pasting the URl where you want it to be in your page, then highlight the url you just pasted then click on the button that looks like a chain link, the click the box that says “open link in new widow/tab”. This should take care of the issue for you without the need for any plugins.
