Plugin Overwriting WP Default Settings

I have recently encountered an issue where I have only been able to upload jpg,jpeg,png and gif files via the WP media uploader. On testing I discovered that Employee Spotlight is the cause. In the settings is a option for “Allowed File Extensions” which is overwriting the WP settings and stopping all other file types from being uploaded. This is therefore stopping .mp3, .docx, etc files from being uploaded. Could this issue be looked into please.
