Plugin Options after Changes via WP Customizer no longer available

    thanks for your plugin!
    I have a problem since the last changes in the new wordpress menu customizer.
    All Options are away and i cannot use this plugin.
    My plugin version is 1.2.3
    I have also a testing area of my website were I cannot reproduce this scenario so I dont know what to do? A reinstallation was also without success.

  • Hi Lukas,

    Firstly, in your testing environment, can you disable all plugins except mine? Does it work then? What theme are you running?

    Secondly, you write that WordPress Menu Customizer (a different plugin than mine??) has updated, which caused my plugin’s options to be unusable. what do you mean with “the new menu customizer”? If and only if it is a FREE plugin, I can take a quick look. Please send me a download url.

    Dear Diana,

    Im running Salient (not free).
    The Customizer is the wordpress build in version and no plugin. Since WordPress 4.7 it has more features and you can edit menus in a new way there.
    I changed my menu the first time about this Customizer and the plugin options at a menu item are gone. In developer console of the chrome browser there are no errors which could make this problem. I hope you can understand me now.

    Hi Lukas,

    In my test environment I’m running WordPress 4.7.1 with the WordPress TwentyThirteen theme. My plugin works just fine there.

    Can you enable Theme TwentyThirteen and disable *all* plugins except mine?

    Edit: Oh, I just noticed you are talking about a *new* Customizer? I just found what you meant. Nope, doesn’t work there, indeed. You should use via Appearance > Menus, I don’t support any other.
