Version 2.25 online back-up has some bugs.
    I have 2 blogs:

    1) on First blog – Was able to do manual back-up after scheduled back-up failed and “timed out.” But file is 10x larger than previous back-ups. Not sure why?

    2) Second blog – Manual back-up failed. Gave the following error message.

“The backup failed: The server returned the following error message: The username and password combination specified was not found on our records.”

I have not changed the username or password. And it was working fine before updating to version 2.25.

(btw- My tech person has it set up as 2 different accounts. Can login to first account. Unable to login to account for blog with failed back-up. So, unable to check or change username/password info.)

    Please help!

    Hi von,

Email support “at” backup-technology.co.uk and mention this topic and my name. Include your current wordpress.backup-technology.com usernames and any preference of a new username and we’ll get it changed for you.

That will be the best and easiest way and keeps with all policies. This way the topic remains if anyone else has similar issues and you don’t need to worry about the usernames.

    I’ll drop the modlook tag.

    Regards,

    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    Thanks for your help!
I have to admit this is confusing for me.
There is one username for wp and another for wp online back-up plugin. is that right?
    Which one(s) are we changing?
Plus I have another blog. Does that have a different username?

    Hi von,

We’re only changing the username on our Portal at wordpress.backup-technology.com. The username you use on the plugin’s Online Backup Settings page.

I cannot change your WP’s username on your blog.

Just go on all your blogs and look on the Online Backup Settings page of the plugin – the username listed there, we can change if you want – just email as I described above and let us know what you want to change it to. You’ll then need to Logout and use the new username once we’ve changed it (online backups will fail until you do since the old username won’t exist anymore.) The password will remain the same but this is something you can freely change yourself at https://wordpress.backup-technology.com/

    Jason.
