• I’ve had the plug-in installed and running for a while. Today, I wanted to try the decrypting process as part of my continuity planning for the client.

For some reason every time I run the decryption, I’m getting a “The backup could not be decrypted; the following error was encountered during decryption: Decryption failed due to CRC mismatch. The file may be corrupt, or the encryption keys invalid.”

I’m using AES128. I know the key is right, because it’s still set in the plug-in.

I tried uploading the backup via the plug-in and FTPing to the directory indicated. I’ve tried using the online version snapshot. I’ve manually backed up, downloaded, and then immediately uploaded.

Everything I’ve tried still gives me the error message.

    I’m running 2.2.4 w/ WordPress 3.3.2

    Hi ejb5oh,

Are you getting the error decrypting, or unzipping?
Where do you download the backup file from also and what is the file name?

    Regards,

    Jason
