Hi! I’ve got some problems with the custom excludes…

I’m using Online Backup for WordPress 2.2.5 with WP 3.3.1.

So, i’ve a big sized folder manually excluded from my FileSystem Backup just typing its name in the Custom Excludes box in this way (supposing my folder is called ‘party’ and exists here “/home/mywebsite/public_html/party”) :

    —————–
    /party

    —————–

Performing a Manual Backup (the downloadable one) i still have this folder in the backup file, even if excluded yet.

    Is there something wrong??? ??

Sincerely thanks for every kind of helps!

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Can you try removing the forward slash from the exclude? If that works I’ll put forward a request to have it ignore a proceeding forward slash in case one is added.

    Thanks,

    Jason

    No problem thedueom!

I believe we are going to tweak the plugin so that when you save the settings, if any excludes start with forward slash, it automatically strips it off so it works, and we’ll tweak the instructions too.

Thanks for letting us know about it, and glad you’re up and running!

    Jason.
