    Hi,

I’ve started getting errors when I try to run a Manual Online Backup.

Clearly the error is related to the OnSwipe plug-in on my Dev site, but I’ve tried updating, removing and re-installing OnSwipe to no avail.

    The error log is:-

    Time Type Event
17th Jan 2012 12.16.57 PM Error The backup failed: The server attempted to retrieve the data, but received junk from your blog. This can happen if your blog is not accessible over the internet. Otherwise, you may have a third-party plugin installed that is changing the backup data as the server tries to receive it. Please contact support if this is the case so we may improve compatibility.

    Hi tubblog,

You could try logging in to your site via FTP and doing a CHOWN on those files so that the permissions match that of other files.

It seems that the plugin cannot read them for some reason.

Only those files will be missing from the backup though – so it wouldn’t be anything to worry about. They are just the snapshots of the plugin screens that you see in the WordPress plugin repository. So if you couldn’t fix the permissions you can safely ignore the warnings.

As for the junk received error.
Please try updating the plugin to version 2.1.2 and let me know if it is any better.
