Hi Jacob,
I understand you’re getting server timeouts when Scrollsequence is activated on your site. I’m happy to help you out with this.
I can confirm that I’m not experiencing this issue on my test site, so it might only be isolated on your site.
Could you please check with your webhost if there are related PHP errors that’s in their logs?
Please also do the following troubleshooting steps and see if they help:
1. Update your Scrollsequence plugin (free/premium) to the latest 1.5.7 version if you haven’t already. We always recommend updating all plugins and themes to their latest versions to avoid any possible settings misconfigurations, conflicts or errors.
2.?Clear all your caches, including any “Used CSS” features to eliminate any possible caching issues:
- Browser’s cache:?Web Browsers – Clear the Cache
- Mobile browser’s cache:?Clear Mobile Browser Cache
- Caching plugin’s cache: (e.g. WP Rocket, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache)
- Any server caching like CDN: (e.g. Cloudflare, Amazon CloudFront, CacheFly) You might need to reach out to your webhost to clear the server cache.
3. Check for a plugin conflict by deactivating all the other plugins (leaving only Scrollsequence activated) and then re-activating them one by one to know which plugin is the culprit.
4. Try using a default WordPress theme as well, like Twenty Twenty-Four with only Scrollsequence active, to see if you’ll get a different result.
We appreciate your cooperation. Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards, Jamie
