  • Hi Awoz,

I installed the plugin as well, but I am not sure how to test if it is compatible with WP 3.4.1. Did you find out if it works in 3.4.1?
    Thanks,

There is always a chance that this plugin will misbehave because of interaction with other plugins. So just look for proper operation:
    – create a page or post with an mailto link.
    – visit the page and verify that the email address displays properly
    – verify that you can click it to send an email
    – finally verify that it is obfuscated

For the last test you could look at the page source code but that is insufficient. You need some way to ‘fake an email bot’. I haven’t tried this, but there may be free services that will scan your site for email addresses – just be careful in choosing one.

And yes, it does seem to work with 3.4.1.

Awoz, thank you very much for your clear and complete response!

I will follow your advice even though I am a bit pressed for time to get my site published. If it is likely that this plugin will work with 3.4.1 I might go ahead for now and do the testing later.

If, by any chance, you have found another solution that you *know* for sure works with 3.4.1, I would appreciate if you could let me know.

This was my first post in this forum, and your response inspires me in confirms that WP is the right choice for a CMS.

    Aloha Peter,

The WP community was one reason for switching our website from another CMS package. I’m still in the process of supplementing our static page site with dynamic posts. As a volunteer for our Church, it does take some perseverance to design and maintain a site. Find some good WP related sites for additional guidance and you should be fine.

    – Cheers

Thanks, I appreciate your encouraging words!
