• Hey. I’ve just updated the plugin and, for me, it’s stopped working completely. I’m using the template tag to display the plugin, it was displaying and working fine previously and now it has just disappeared. I’ve tried using the auto insert option just to check if that works and it doesn’t. Unfortunately my site is on localhost so I can’t post a link to it. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Can the plugin author take a look at the latest update and see if there is anything wrong? Thanks.

You are correct. I caught this bug after the 1.1.2 release. The 1.1.3 release should take care of this issue. Reply back if it does not.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the response. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and I selected the custom post types and it now works fine on custom post types (although I never had a problem displaying the plugin on custom post types previously). I also had the plugin displaying on my author page and it does not work there now; the space where it should appear is blank (previously it appeared on the author page fine). I’m using the template tag to make the plugin appear. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    D

Hi, this is actually on purpose.

The social plugins do not show up on archive pages (which the author page is considered an archive page).

Each of the social boxes pertain to a singular particular post. If your social boxes were showing up before, it’s because they were attaching themselves to the last post on an archive page, which was a flaw in the design which had been patched. Clicking Like on the Facebook button on an archive page would “like” the last post on that archive page.

Maybe in a future version, I’ll add support to where those buttons would make the appropriate action on archive pages (i.e. liking that particular page instead of the last post), but I’m not sure that’s the best user experience.

People tend to “like” or share things, and not collections of things as those collections rapidly change.

    Thanks for the explanation Brian.
