We installed the ShipStation plugin via the WordPress marketplaces many, many months ago. Last week we created a new user account for the admin area. When the user went to the admin area of WordPress for the first time, they saw this notice from the ShipStation plugin:
    Link to Dropbox

This seems odd. Why would a new user be told that we need to connect our store to ShipStation, when it had already been completed months earlier? I’ve seen a plugin do this once or twice, but other plugins don’t seem to trigger retroactive notices in the future.

There is already just a bit too much noise in WordPress, so I have to ask – is it possible to improve this?

    Hi there,

Thanks for letting us know about the notice showing up for a new user. It seems this is because it stores a dismissed notice for each user individually. But I’d agree that this is rather confusing and shouldn’t be happening.

We track all the requested improvements for our plugins in our ideas board. So you can add your request there: https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce?category_id=337612
The more votes a request has, the more likely our developers will implement it in the future.

This shouldn’t even be a feature request. It should be standard. If ship station is set up, the notice should go away.
