    I’ve been getting notifications from your plugin that says “The Plugin “name of plugin” appears to be abandoned.”
    I check the site and the plugins section and nothing is wrong. All the plugins are just fine. Any idea of what’s going on?

  • Same here. A lot of false alarms. A recent sample:
    Critical Problems:

    * The Plugin “Contact Form DB” has been removed from www.remarpro.com.

    Warnings:

    * The Plugin “Export Featured Images” appears to be abandoned.

    * The Plugin “Get page IDs” appears to be abandoned.

    * The Plugin “Limit Login Attempts” appears to be abandoned.

    All plugins appear to work just fine.

    I just posted a message to the WordFence support forum where the messages come from to see if they know what’s going on.

    Maybe this is it (from another thread)

    Please have a look at this article which addresses the “Plugin appears to be abandoned” scan message.

    Thanks for the link to understand what the messages are about.

    Hi @scottkr24,

    Indeed as @horus79 pointed out we implemented new checks (and warnings) within the Wordfence scan.

    @horus79,

    Thanks for stepping in!

    Does the Wordfence functionality require any special settings to operate, or does the login limiting work just by having Wordfence installed & activated?
    Thanks!
