Plugin not working with WordPress upgrades

    First let me say what an outstanding plugin “Collapsed Archives” really is. I had been looking for a plugin with this functionality for a long time, and have been happily using it for 2 years.

    Collapsed Archives is easy to install and set up. The layout is pleasing to the eye and the functionality is just what is needed.

    However with the latest version of WordPress Collapsed Archives is no longer working.

    Hopefully you will be able to resolve this issue.

    Please confirm.

    Could you please elaborate as to what isn’t working? I haven’t noticed any issues with using Collapsed Archives v1.5 with WordPress 5.5.1.

    Hi Matthew

    The issue was caused by a setting in the plugin SEO Yoast. After enabling “Date archives” the “Collapsed Archives” is working perfectly again.

    I notice that since yesterday you have updated the plugin status to be compatible with WordPress 5.5.1.

    I didn’t actually update the plugin. I just bumped up the “tested up to” tags. Ignore this. I read “plugin status” as “plugin” and wanted to offer clarification.

    @supertrooper2 Hi, I have the same problem too. I have deactivated the Yoast SEO plugin and now Collapsed Archives plugin works.
    I want to keep SEO Yoast too, how did you set it up?

    SOLVED: SEO Yoast ->Search Appearance ->Archives ->Date archives settings ->Enabled

    Hi Steve

    Follow the links to:

    Yoast SEO / Search Appearance / Archives / Author archives / Check Enabled

    Then your Collapsed Arcives will work again.

    My situation is different. As I wrote in the previous post the setting is this (Date archives settings):

    SEO Yoast ->Search Appearance ->Archives ->Date archives settings ->Enabled
