I have a few memberships I want to be able to sell on my site, but it wont let me sell the memberships using this plugin. I would use the normal woocommerce plugin to do this but it requires the customer to create an account if they are going to check out using apple or google pay. Let me know if there is something I am missing as it does not seem clear either way how to fix this. Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @nathanreimchevu,

What membership plugin are you using? It’s likely they haven’t added an integration to our plugin.

I guess I should clarify, I am not using a membership plugin at all really, I am just adding a product in the products tab as a simple subscription. I don’t need the buyers to have a membership or account on my website but it should be setup as a reoccurring charge…..

prnt never works. Can you use something like imgur to share screenshots?

What subscription plugin are you using for your subscription products? If it’s WooCommerce Subscriptions then your customers must create an account to purchase a subscriptions because that’s how WCS works. It requires an account to be created before or during checkout.

Got it, I think I understand so in this case what would plugin would you recommend I used to create the subscription products?

@nathanreimchevu Based on the screenshot you posted it looks like you’re using WooCommerce Subscriptions. I recommend you stick with that plugin and accept the fact that in order to sell subscriptions your customers need an account. Any good solution will require that because subscriptions require some management. Here is an example: say you sell a subscription but don’t create a customer account. How will your customer update their payment method, put their subscription on hold, or cancel their subscription?

This plugin automatically creates an account for your customer if they use the payment buttons on a product or cart page. It’s all automated.

So that would mean to have people sign up for memberships I would need to instead make the sign up buttons on the membership plans route to a account creation flow and then checkout? When I try to checkout without making an account using apple pay I get a message that I have to make an account in order to use apple pay. So I would assume I need an account creation flow to happen before I have them purchase the subscription.

No, that’s not how WCS works. The sign up buttons add the product to the cart just like any regular product, then your customer would navigate to the checkout page where they would pay for the order and their account is created. I’d recommend you read the WCS docs and do some testing on your site so you understand the buyer flow.

Notice on your checkout page there is an account password field that’s required. If you want to use Apple Pay at the top of your checkout page then use the WooCommerce setting that autogenerates a password.
